| xx. | P. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. S. THAT WE MAY BE MADE WORTHY OF THE PROMISES OF CHRIST. P. Let us pray. O God, our refuge and our strength, lok down in mercy on Thy people who cry to Thee, and by the intercession of the glorious and immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of St. Joseph her Spouse, of Thy Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, and of all the Saints, in mercy and goodness hear our prayers for the conversion of sinners, and for the liberty and exaltation of our Holy Mother the Church. Through the same Christ Our Lord. S. AMEN. If you have to open the gates of the sanctuary, do so NOW if the priest is holding the chalice; if he has left it on the altar, you will have time to open them at the end of these prayers. P. Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the wicked spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Lead out, walking reverently. In the sacristy, bow to the Cross and to the priest, then kneel for the priest's blessing. Help the priste to unvest, if he wishes.
