Benediction at 5:30pm today Servers: Blansetts
Altar Society cleaning team this week (September 4) is St. Rita's team.
BREAKFAST TODAY
Please come to the parish breakfast today: all proceeds to benefit the Academy which is great financial need right now. There is no set charge, we are simply asking for donations. Figure out how much you might have spent at a restaurant for that breakfast and donate it to the school!
The HNS is putting on the breakfast, which is just terrific, but they often do not get enough help for the cleanup afterwards. Can you stay around and help to clean up? We really need the help. Thank you!
ST. PIUS X FEAST & FIRST FRIDAY
This Friday, Sept. 3, is a very special day for us: the feast of our holy patron St. Pius X. It is also the first Friday of the month. At the evening Mass, the Sisters will be sing a High Mass, and that night will be all-night adoration. Please remember to attend Mass that day to fulfill your first Friday Communion, and to pray for the SSPX.

SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Be sure to register your children for the upcoming school year. Forms are available in the vestibule, or by calling the school. The following forms are needed as soon as possible: family registration, new student form (only for new incomming) permission to transport and medical treatment form.
SPONSOR A STUDENT
In our state of economy, some families are struggling financially. St. Thomas Becket Academy now has a program that allows you to sponsor a child who cannot otherwise afford to be in school. The child must prove financial need (tax forms & approved application), meet academic excellence requirements, have a clean and "virtuous" discipline record, and desire a good Catholic education. The sponsor will receive a quarterly newsletter discussing the educational programs offered by the academy; along with extracurricular activities, school news, honor rolls, financial information, student publications, and more. Please contact the school office if you are willing to help.
FIVE DOLLARS A DAY TO SAVE OUR SCHOOL
Could you not give $5 a day to save our school? We often waste money on needless purchases, or due to a lack of planning we make needless trips. Let each family work together, make sacrifices, and then that $5 a day will not be hard to save. At the end of the month donate that money to the Acaddemy. If even half our parish families do this, the school will he placed again on sound financial footing. Please don't forget; God is calling us to pull together for the future of our parish.
