OUR BASKETBALL TEAM

ST. THOMAS BECKET'S RC CHALLENGE
As you know, SSPX parishioners are no longer welcome at the RC Challenge in Portland; so, we are holding our own .. a traditional Catholic quiz challenge, the mornings of April 28 and 29. (Yes, it is purposely (sic) the same weekend as the Renaissance Festival.) We are hoping to havc teams from all over the area competing, including our chapels in Post Falls, ID, Portland, Klamath Falls and Los Gatos, CA. Plus, a number of teams can bc formed by home-schoolers and friends in Eugene, Salem and Silverton. Registration forms are now available which include the rules of the game and study guides and tips. Please contact the school office at 541-935-0149 or email Fr. Cooper for the registration forms at frprior@sttbchurch.org.

RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL
We think you will really enjoy the annual festival this year, scheduled for Saturday, April 28. There will be silent auction in the gymnasium from 5:00 to 6:30, with drinks and hors d'oeurves served. At 6:30pm is the dinner followed by the live auction in the cafeteria/auditorium. Please help by collecting items for both auctions. If we work together this may prove thc most successful year yet.

OUR WASHINGTON DC TRIP
Eighteen students and chaperones from St. Thomas Becket Academy are in Washington DC this week. They will be taking part in the National Right to Life March tomorrow (with 500,000 other people) and seeing the sites in our nation's capital and in Gettysburg, PA. Please pray for them that they might be safe and blessed. Thank you for all your help and support. We'll be praying for all our benefactors daily. God bless you.

HELP STOP PUBLIC FUNDING OF ABORTION
"No public funds shall be used to fund abortions, .... " Following up on last year's petition to stop the funding of abortions, we are now permitted to get this on the ballet. In order to accomplish this we need 11,000 signatures. This bill is at least a start in the fight against abortion.
What can we do?
  1. If you are a registered voter in Lane County, please sign the petition in the vestibule.
  2. Volunteer to collect signatures (we need 75 volunteers to collect 1 signature per day).
